Скотт Джоплин (англ. Scott Joplin; 24 ноября 1868 года, вост. Техас — 1 апреля 1917) — американский композитор и пианист, автор многочисленных рэгтаймов, наиболее известный из которых — «The Entertainer» («Увеселитель», «Артист эстрады»). Считается крупнейшим из авторов рэгтаймов, однако признание получил лишь после смерти. При жизни его музыка воспринималась афроамериканской общиной как «слишком белая», а белыми — напротив, как «слишком чёрная», не отвечавшая классическим канонам.
